I did my first IRS form 433-F myself

Yep, the word would be like the lawyer story, I might have a fool for a client.

I took about a week to gather up all of the substantaiting material. Basically three months of income, and bills. My cpa, which I can not affod anymore has done four or five 433's. Anyway, I thought the best option right now was tho be uncloolectable. That way the IRS would not bother me monthly.

That may be true but no one told me they do leave you alone but they file a lien on you for the total amount. The lien is ligher than a first on a mortgage. So the could floreclose, then take all you money, home, etc and leave the holder of your first and secound empty handed.

Well. I did it, it's done and no redo for a year. Happy about no IRS badgering for a year. Not happy about the credit rating going into th dumpster. To be contanued.

The IRS and the California Franchise Tax Board

I just received a letter a letter from the FTB. It says they have received information from the IRS that they will use charge us another $329 in taxes in 2007. The year of our bankruptcy. I think my mother said its like getting blood from a turnip.

My cpa just fired himself??

I guess it is beginning to rain IRS letters now. His email says he is notifying the IRS he is no longer representing us.
I called the IRS to find out what's next, they say they need a new IRS Form 433-F filled out. The form looks simple enough but after looking at the how to, it includes a stack of paper about 3 inches thick of our monthly statements. Ugh. One the the googled sites says they just paid a few dollars in postage to mail theirs. To be continued.

2011 CPA conversation with the IRS

So? Why now?

I retired on social security last year and quickly discovered I could not make the $400 tax payment to the IRS. I put together a package showing we upside down by almost $600.

Submitted it through our CPA and after a couple months, the IRS response was at first review, we will potentially be paying a $843. Only the IRS and tjeir fancy new computer system could figure that kind of math.

What's your story? Please no cursing, swearing, or mis-statement of facts. Right now I am monitoring the comments so feel free to share. You can also provide suggestions to me via the comments on any post, I would appreciate any suggestions on improving the blog.

2005 business failure was the beginning

So, what to do when I can not sleep because of the conversation with the CPA late yesterday regarding our IRS payment going from $400 to $800 a month?

Perhaps start a blog where folks can share their own stories?

Ours started with gathering the finances to build and open a small business. Parenthetically never include your home as collateral for a SBA loan. Everything went fine up until I saw the business, for several different reasons, would never support the debt load.

Please no cursing, swearing, or mis-statement of facts.
